Drew Dayton, OD

Dr. Dayton received his Doctor of Optometry degree from Pacific University in Forest Grove, Oregon in 1990 and graduated as a member of Beta Sigma Kappa International Optometric Honors Fraternity. His undergraduate studies were at Ricks College in Rexburg, Idaho and Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah.

Upon graduation Dr. Dayton practiced retail eye care in Twin Falls, Idaho for two years and then in Nampa, Idaho for 14 years. In 2006 he founded Hometown Family Eyecare in Middleton, Idaho with a strong emphasis in medical primary care optometry and contact lens services. He joined The Eye Associates in 2006.

Dr. Dayton is an adjunct clinical professor at Midwestern University Arizona College of Optometry. Since 2012 he has worked with 4th year optometry students teaching them clinical as well as practice management skills during their 3 month rotations. He has also been an invited lecturer at continuing medical education conferences.

Dr. Dayton’s greatest professional satisfaction is enhancing patients’ lives by maximizing their vision. His greatest personal satisfaction is spending time with his wife, Seleste, and six children. They enjoy all the activities Idaho has to offer from hunting and fishing to cycling, backpacking, skiing, and working on grandpa’s potato farm.
