Gregory Kent, MD
Dr. Gregory Kent has been practicing in the Treasure Valley since 1991. He received his undergraduate degree from Pennsylvania State University, and then went on to earn his doctorate from Temple University Medical School. Upon completion of medical school, Dr. Kent accepted an internship with Allentown Affiliated Hospitals in Allentown, Pennsylvania. He completed his ophthalmology training in 1990 at St. Vincent’s Regional Medical Center in New York City.
Dr. Kent has developed a multi-specialty practice serving patients from Mountain Home to Ontario, with two conveniently located offices in Meridian and Caldwell. He has earned the reputation of a talented and compassionate surgeon, specializing in refractive and cataract surgery. His caring and knowledgeable staff adds another level of patient confidence, which is increasingly difficult to find in today’s changing world of medicine.
After enjoying the success of his own refractive procedure, Dr. Kent began performing refractive surgery in 1999. Since then, has become one of Idaho’s leading refractive surgeons. Dr. Kent’s technical skills and attention to detail play a key role in refractive surgery success. As a beneficiary of LASIK himself, Dr. Kent has an intimate patient perspective about the transformation offered by LASIK surgery.
Dr. Kent is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the Idaho Medical Association, the Idaho Ophthalmology Society, and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons.
He has a love for the outdoors through fly-fishing, hunting, and golfing. His greatest joy however, is reserved for his wife Kimberly and their four children: Danielle, Alexander, Olivia, and Harrison.
